Yawn...

So nothing note worthy or exciting has happened today... really nothing. I actually have nothing to rant about... no one has annoyed me.
I would talk bitterly about the shit weather, but then i remember that i'm not in fact an 80 year old man.
But i've been listening to a lot of Adam Lambert today thanks to a certain someone, not naming any names - Jonathan Bain - so i'm just gonna post a song for us all to enjoy:

Also while i'm on the subject of music, what do people think of Lana Del Ray? I like her, but i seem to be the only one :/ why does no one like this song?

I mean, i know her entire life story was fabricated, but i still think she's quite good :) although she does have a depressing face...

Eh, Okay Then

So i read an article today that boldly stated that men with muscles make worse boyfriends than guys with other physiques... Well i wish someone had told me sooner!

I kid of course! ;P I do my fair share of exercise, but alas i retain the physique of a twig.

The University of Westminster did a study which apparently concludes that men with good bodies are more likely to be sexist and have increased hostility... well let's agree to disagree shall we. I don't find studies like this remotely fair!

Let me just fall off topic for a moment here because I've just noticed that I've started this whole blog without music from the following great person, which is almost an offence. (And, if you know me, don't role your eyes...)

Such a great woman, i think you'll all agree...

Anyway, back to the article. Or maybe not back to the article because i don't have much more to say about it! only that i just don't agree with studies that stereotype. But hey never mind! :)

I was going to talk a bit about the Wimbledon men's final now... but i really cant be bothered talking about this exciting sport again. Actually i don't think i'm ever going to mention the tennis again. I can sense the sadness from all of you but I've made up my mind, it's too boring ;D

So i think i'll go and watch TV instead, or put on a film. Does anyone else feel that no matter how many DVDs you own you'll never find one you want to watch? or that films are always better when they're shown on TV? Hmm, maybe that's just me.

Oh Dear...

Oh dear indeed! I have just entered into an ill-considered 'Lawrence of Arabia' challenge!... (I say that as though it's something normal, it's not, we just made it up)

Allow me to explain. The challenge itself sounds easy enough, as all it entails is watching the movie from beginning to end. Where's the challenge there? i hear you ask.
Well, if anyone has actually watched this film they will recall that it is painfully long winded. In fact i think with the DVD extras it would take roughly a week to watch the whole thing.

I'm aware that it won several Academy Awards so some people must find it amazing, but alas i dont think i'll last through it. I have a very poor attention span at the best of times.

Although admittedly the music is rather good!

Have a listen if you're not doing anything else...

Yet, having said that, this challenge might be one of the most exciting things i do this summer. And aint that a little bit sad.
There really is nothing to do! Except maybe apply for another job, but lets not go down that particularly dark road...

Perhaps I'll do some of the one million things i said to myself i'd do this summer, for example learn the Saxophone or the ukulele, but i really don't know. But then again those are unsociable activities!

I get the feeling i'm coming across as rather glass-half-empty but I'm sure I'll find something exciting to do... :D

Speaking of Saxophone...

Rainy Saturday Boredom... with tennis

So i've been tragically overcome with boredom today and i have nothing to do, and i mean absolutely nothing! (except perhaps wash the dishes but lets be serious)

I find myself, for perhaps the first time ever, sitting watching a match in Wimbledon. It's very rare that i watch a sport at all (bar Rugby of course). However, in all fairness, it's the womens final so i kinda have to watch it. But every time Wimbledon is on i need to have the rules explained to me because apparently i have the attention span of a garden chair when it comes to every aspect of tennis.
But who can blame me? is it just me that finds this game exceptionally slow and dull? perhaps it is. I can't decide which is the more exciting actually, tennis or cricket? ooh that's a tough question indeed.
They should at least have a brass band playing some tunes throughout the games! or would that be distracting? Really it doesn't matter! They just need to introduce something that will liven the game up! And the commentators are too serious...

I do confess though that when i was younger i did play a bit of tennis. Well... i say play, but really all i recall is hitting a ball with a racket...

*sigh* Alas i was never born to be sporty.

But i digress! Back to the game i'm watching and Serena Williams looks angry! She's winning though so it's all good. But isn't she a scary looking woman?

If i was playing her, and let's assume for arguments sake that i was world No.1, i would let her win.

I guess I'll be watching the mens final too at some point, mainly just because Andy Murray is playing and it would be socially unacceptable to miss it. I can hardly contain my excitement...

A Quote and a Smile

I often like to Quote the great George W Bush whenever i start something new, like a new piece of writing. I don't quote him out of disrespect to him, but i can't help but laugh...

"Throughout our history, the words of the Declaration have inspired immigrants from around the world to set sail to our shores. These immigrants have helped transform 13 small colonies into a great and growing nation of more than 300 people."

I don't think any other American President to come could be as Inspiring...

But i do like President Obama, if i was an American i would probably be a supporter of the Democrats.

You know what? I'm just going to post this, feel free to smile.

The Inaugural Post

I've been wondering what topics to begin with and whether i should dive right into discussion with controversial issues or not. But i'm thinking not!

I'm pretty sure this blog will start to build as i hear or see things on the news etc that are overwhelmingly stupid or interesting. But more often than not it's the stupid things that gain my attention and peak my interests, usually prompting a strong opinion. But i always remain open minded!

Actually, in all honesty, this blog will probably erupt with my views (and perhaps rants) on controversial  statements and interviews some American politicians give on subjects such as LGBT issues. I get annoyed easily by many of the ignorant words that come out of some politicians mouths. But alas i wont start off down that road just yet...

... in fact, i think I'll begin happily with the first of many songs I'll probably post throughout this blog. (This song has being going through my head for weeks)

A few points of view

I'm just starting up this blog which will hopefully focus on topics such as LGBT issues, Politics and probably around 1000 other things. Or basically whatever i feel like having a constructive rant at. Hopefully not too much Politics but no promises, as i often need a rant about the SNP...

And please, everyone and anyone feel free to comment on anything i say :)
